Education Journeys is a specialist educational travel brand creating meaningful school tours across selected destinations in Asia and Europe.
We work with international schools, universities, youth groups and educational institutions that want students to experience learning in a deeper and more human way. Our journeys are built around culture, community, history, nature, service learning, responsible travel and guided reflection.
We do not see travel as a break from education. We see travel as an extension of education.
Built On Friendship, Field Experience And A Shared Belief In Travel
Education Journeys was founded by Ryan Truong and Long Nguyen, two longtime friends who grew up together, studied at university together and began their careers as tour guides before entering the school tours and educational travel industry in 2011.
Their story did not begin in a meeting room. It began on the road.
Before building Education Journeys, Ryan and Long spent years guiding students, teachers and international travelers through villages, cities, rivers, mountains, historic sites and local communities. They learned from real experience that a meaningful journey is not created by a beautiful itinerary alone. It is created through human connection, thoughtful planning, cultural understanding and genuine care for every student group.
As young guides, they saw how travel could change the way students looked at the world. A simple moment could become unforgettable: students talking with children at a local school, learning how a family prepares a traditional meal, walking through a town shaped by history, joining a community activity, or listening to the story of a guide who grew up in that destination.
These experiences shaped their belief that school tours should be more than sightseeing. Since 2011, Ryan Truong and Long Nguyen have continued to develop journeys that help students learn through culture, community, history, nature, service and reflection.

Our Approach To Community-Based Learning
In Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, many of our programs include service learning or community-based projects. These activities may involve local schools, environmental awareness, reading spaces, cultural exchange, simple classroom support, school gardens, community learning spaces or youth interaction.
We are careful about how these projects are designed. We do not promote charity tourism. We do not want students to see communities as places to fix. Instead, we design service learning as a respectful two-way exchange.
Students come to learn from the community, contribute in appropriate ways and reflect on what the experience teaches them about people, culture, privilege, teamwork and responsibility.

In Asia, we work with Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. These destinations are especially suitable for service learning, local community connection, school exchange, cultural immersion, environmental awareness and responsible travel.
Europe
In Europe, we work with Hungary, Slovakia and Romania. These destinations offer powerful learning through history, architecture, heritage, rivers, castles, music, rural traditions, cultural identity and European social change.
